Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Instructions for writing the Indonesian Scientific Health Journal (Indonesian Health Scientific Journal)

General

  • The article manuscript sent to JKII is an original manuscript for which the author is fully responsible.
  • Article manuscripts that are in the process of being published or that have been published by the Indonesian Scientific Health Journal become the property of the editorial team and may not be published again by other parties in any form.
  • Unpublished article manuscripts will be returned if there is a written request from the author.

Special

  • Article manuscripts published by the Indonesian Scientific Health Journal consist of: Systematic reviews, research results, community service results, theories or concepts and book reviews in the health sector. Articles are typed using Times New Roman font, size 12 pts and 1.5 spacing. Printed on A4 paper, maximum 15 pages. The article manuscript is written in Microsoft Word and sent via email:
  • The name of the author of the article is placed under the title of the article without an academic degree. The first author is written with the number 1, the second author with the number 2 and the third author with the number 3. If there are more than 3 authors of the article, then only the main author is listed under the title of the article; the names of other authors are listed in the footnotes on the first page of the manuscript. The author's name is written in bold. Manuscripts prepared by a team of article writers, editors only communicate with the main author or the author whose name is listed first. Authors are encouraged to include an email address to facilitate communication.
  • The article manuscript is written in Indonesian in essay format accompanied by a title for each part of the article. Writing the title of the article is printed in Times New Roman, size 12 pts with a maximum of 12 words and bolded.

 

The systematics of research articles are:

  • Title
  • Author's Name (without academic degree)
  • Abstract (200 words) containing objectives, methods, results, conclusions and suggestions. Abstract writing is bolded and only the first letter is capitalized, positioned in the middle, font size 11 pts, keywords. Abstracts are made in 2 versions, namely Indonesian and English.
  • Introduction containing the background and objectives of the research
  • Research methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusions and recommendations
  • Bibliography (only contains referenced sources)
  • Procedures for presenting quotations, bibliography, tables and figures follow APA (American Physiological Association, 2010) provisions in Indonesian language articles using general EYD (enhanced spelling) guidelines. Citations use bracketed reference techniques (name, year). Example: (Molan, 2001)
  • The bibliography is arranged and sorted alphabetically and chronologically. The font used is 11, between one source and the next 2 spaces.
