Abstract

Berbicara merupakan salah satu keterampilan berbahasa terpenting yang harus dikembangkan oleh siswa dalam belajar bahasa Inggris. Akan tetapi, tidak semua siswa dapat berkomunikasi dalam bahasa Inggris. Siswa merasa sulit untuk berkomunikasi dalam bentuk lisan, dan mereka menghadapi berbagai kendala. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang menimbulkan kecemasan siswa, serta hubungan antara keterampilan berbicara siswa dan tingkat kecemasan mereka. Pengabdian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data menunjukkan bahwa kekhawatiran komunikasi, ketakutan akan penilaian yang buruk, dan kecemasan ujian merupakan unsur-unsur yang menyebabkan kegugupan siswa saat berbicara.
