Abstract

Stunting merupakan salah satu masalah kegagalan tumbuh yang akarnya melekat pada masalah kronis gizi dan kemiskinan struktural. Di Indonesia, prevalensi stunting masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat, khususnya untuk keluarga miskin dengan akses terbatas pada makanan bergizi, layanan dasar, dan pendidikan. Edukasi publik melalui media dirasa efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran dan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hubungan antara stunting dan kemiskinan. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peran media radio publik dalam edukasi gizi dan pencegahan stunting dalam program “Obrolan Sehat: Satu Energi Hadapi Stunting” dengan topik “Stunting dan Kemiskinan” di RRI Pro4 Bukittinggi. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam membahas bagaimana layanan siaran edukatif ini berdasarkan pada dokumen siaran, analisis materi pembicaraan, dan respons pendengar melalui media interaksi, yakni kuping masyarakat melalui telepon, WhatsApp, dan media sosial. Sumber informan ahli dari Universitas Prima Nusantara Bukittinggi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa program siaran ini berhasil memberikan latar belakang isu stunting terkait masalah kemiskinan, dan memberikan informasi praktis mengenai intervensi gizi keluarga. Partisipasi pendengar cukup baik, dan interaksi turut mendukung untuk meningkatkan kesadaran tentang penerapan formula “1.000 Hari Pertama Kehidupan” dan bantuan pemerintah. Program ini membuktikan potensi menjadi media advokasi kesehatan masyarakat yang adil dan partisipatif.
