KESEHATAN MENTAL PADA REMAJA DI SMP NEGERI 6 PADANGSIDIMPUAN

Masalah kesehatan jiwa merupakan salah satu masalah yang menjadi perhatian. Masalah kesehatan jiwa pada remaja adalah salah satunya. Remaja harus sehat jiwa. Beberapa tahun terakhir, kesehatan mental remaja telah meningkatkan kekhawatiran. Terjadi prevalensi yang meningkat masalah kesehatan jiwa pada remaja. Upaya pencegahan salah satunya adalah pencegahan dengan melakukan pendidikan kepada remaja tentang sehat jiwa. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) tentang keehatan jiwa. Kegiatan ini dilakukan oleh dosen dan mahasiswa Universitas Aufa Royhan di Kota Padangsidimpuan. Sekolah yang jadi mitra merupakan sekolah yang bersedia diberikan pendidikan kesehatan kepada siswanya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMP NEGERI 6 di Kota Padangsidimpuan. Hasilnya menunjukan bahwa ada peningkatan yang baik terkait pengetahuan siswa tentang kesehatan jiwa. Harapannya dengan kegiatan ini, remaja mengenal tentang kesehatan jiwa dan mampu mencegah agar siswa tidak mengalami masalah kesehatan jiwa
