Abstract

Cuci tangan pakai sabun merupakan salah satu tindakan sederhana namun efektif dalam mencegah penularan penyakit infeksi, seperti diare, infeksi saluran pernapasan akut (ISPA), serta penyakit berbasis lingkungan lainnya. Selain itu, kesehatan gigi dan mulut juga menjadi permasalahan yang cukup tinggi pada anak usia sekolah. Kebiasaan menggosok gigi yang tidak tepat dapat menyebabkan berbagai gangguan seperti karies gigi, plak, hingga penyakit periodontal. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam menerapkan kebiasaan CTPS dan menggosok gigi di rumah dalam meningkatkan derajat Kesehatan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan model partisipatif yang melibatkan komponen sekolah seperti guru dan siswa sekolah dasar. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan sasaran utama adalah siswa sekolah dasar. Jumlah peserta sebanyak 30 orang. Lokasi pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan di SD N 101502 Muaratais Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Jenis pengabdian ini adalah promosi kesehatan dengan pemberian informasi mengenai kebiasaan CTPS dan menggosok gigi pada siswa sekolah dan praktik. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah bermain sambil belajar dan disertai dengan praktik CTPS dan menggosok gigi. Teknik pengabdian yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini berupa promosi kesehatan, praktik, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil akhir yang terlihat dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah sebagian besar siswa dapat mengetahui materi yang disampaikan mengenai kebiasaan CTPS dan menggosok gigi. Masyarakat terlihat tertib dan sesuai dengan yang diarahkan oleh tim dalam kegiatan ini. Seluruh peserta kegiatan menyatakan pengabdian masyarakat ini sangat bermanfaat karena dapat menambah pengetahuan siswa dalam melakukan pemilihan sampah. Kegiatan pengabdian masyakat ini berhasil dilaksanakan.
