Abstract

Berdasarkan definisi dari World Health Organization (WHO), kondisi sehat adalah ketika seseorang tidak hanya bebas dari penyakit, melainkan juga mencapai keselarasan antara kapasitas fisik, batin, dan hubungan sosialnya. Pemanfaatan TOGA melalui inovasi dalam produksi jamu dalam bentuk kapsul, celup, dan cair diharapkan mampu memberikan solusi efektif untuk peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat pasca-bencana. Pendekatan yang dipakai dalam pelaksanaan dibuat agar bersifat partisipatif dan praktis, dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan wawasan, kemampuan, serta kemandirian warga dalam memproses Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) menjadi produk jamu yang disajikan dalam bentuk kapsul, celup, dan cair. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan tahapan persiapan yang meliputi peninjauan awal guna mengidentifikasi persoalan kesehatan masyarakat pascabencana, ketersediaan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA), serta tingkat pemahaman warga mengenai penggunaan tanaman obat. Keterlibatan mitra dalam program ini sangat penting dan dapat dilihat dari partisipasi aktif masyarakat di setiap tahap kegiatan. Pelaksanaan program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) di Dusun Pengkolan, Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara berjalan dengan baik dan mendapatkan tanggapan positif dari warga setempat. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan kemajuan keterampilan masyarakat dalam mengubah tanaman obat keluarga menjadi berbagai macam produk jamu. Dari sudut pandang perubahan sikap, program PKM ini membawa dampak positif.
