Abstract

Penyakit jantung koroner adalah suatu kondisi terjadi pengurangan aliran darah ke jantung secara mendadak. Beberapa gejala dari sindrom ini adalah tekanan di dada seperti serangan jantung, sesak saat sedang beristirahat atau melakukan aktivitas fisik ringan, keringat yang berlebihan secara tiba-tiba (diaforesis), muntah, mual, nyeri di bagian tubuh lain seperti lengan kiri atau rahang, dan jantung yang berhenti mendadak (cardiac arrest). Umumnya mengenai klien usia 30 tahun ke atas walau pada saat ini terdapat kecenderungan mengenai usia lebih muda. Metode penyuluhan yang digunakan ialah metode promosi kelompok yaitu pada kelompok usia 30 tahun ke atas. Tujuan dari penyuluhan kesehatan masyarakat yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat akan penyakit jantung koroner, gejala-gejala dan cara untuk mencegah terkena penyakit jantung koroner serta cara untuk memperbaiki pola hidup dan pola makan yang baik. Setelah dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan tentang penyakit jantung coroner, terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta yang sebelum mengikuti pendidikan kesehatan tidak tahu tentang penyakit jantung coroner, sekarang sudah lebih paham tentang defenisi, tanda dan gejala serta tindakan pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan.
