Abstract

Anemia merupakan faktor utama penyebab morbiditas dan mortalitas ibu di negara berkembang. Menurut World Health Organization (WHO) prevalensi anemia pada ibu hamil di negara berkembang sebesar 51%. Di Indonesia, berdasarkan hasil survei Riskesdas tahun 2018 didapatkan data proporsi anemia pada ibu hamil mengalami peningkatan dari 37,1% (2013) menjadi 48,9% (2018). Begitu juga Kota Padangsidimpuan khususnya Desa Sigumuru masih ada ibu hamil yang mengalami anemia. Target luaran yang diharapkan peningkatan pengetahuan antara sebelum dan setelah penyuluhan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2021 di Desa Sigumuru Kota Padangsidimpuan. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah seluruh ibu hamil yang ada di Desa Sigumuru. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan/ ceramah disertai diskusi dan tanya jawab menggunakan media leaflet. Hasil pengabdian terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan tentang anemia pada ibu hamil sebagai upaya pencegahan dan mengenali resiko tinggi atau komplikasi anemia pada kehamilan secara dini.
