PKM (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) Penyuluhan Tentang Pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI (MPASI) Pada Balita Tahun 2022

ABSTRAK
Masa bayi merupakan periode pertama kehidupan anak dari lahir hingga dua belas bulan. Masa bayi sering dianggap sebagai masa yang membutuhkan peran orang tua terutama ibu untuk memantau pertumbuhan anak. Pemberian makan yang tidak tepat saat MPASI dapat berakibat buruk di masa yang akan datang. Bayi akan mengalami kekurangan zat besi, angka kecukupan gizi yang diterima tidak sesuai dengan usianya, dan yang paling fatal dapat mengakibatkan gizi buruk. Masalah gizi di Indonesia pada hakikatnya adalah masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang saling terkait satu sama lain. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini dilakukan sebagai salah satu bentuk upaya untuk memberikan informasi tentang pemberian makanan pendamping ASI (MPASI) pada balita di Desa Labuhan Labo Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Tenggara pada tahun 2022. Kegiatan ini dilakukan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini dapat dilakukan lebih sering agar para orang tua tetap mendapatkan edukasi seputar MPASI.

ABSTRACT
Infancy is the initial period of a child's life from birth to twelve months. It is often regarded as a time which requires the role of parents particularly the mother to monitor the child's growth. Inappropriate feeding of complementary food (MPASI) may lead to bad consequences in the future. Infants will have iron deficiency, nutritional adequacy rate received that is inappropriate for their ages, and the most fatal may lead to malnutrition. Actually nutrition issues in Indonesia are the public health issues caused by several interrelated factors. This counseling activity was carried out as one of efforts to provide information about complementary food (MPASI) to infants in Labuhan Labo Village, Padangsidimpuan Tenggara District in 2022. It was carried out by using lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. This counseling activity can be carried out more often so that parents can get information about complementary food (MPASI).
