PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN WANITA USIA SUBUR TENTANG UNMED NEED MELALUI PEMBERIAN KIE KB

Sasaran langsung program KB salah satunya adalah pasangan usia subur yang kebutuhan KB tidak terpenuhi (unmet need). Lebih dari 80% peserta KB aktif memilih suntikan dan pil sebagai metode kontrasepsi dibanding metode lainnya yaitu suntikan (63,71%) dan pil (17,24%). Sementara 11 persen wanita kawin umur 15-49 tahun kebutuhan KB tidak terpenuhi (unmet need). Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian unmet need adalah faktor demografi, sosio ekonomi, pengetahuan, sikap, paparan media massa, takut efek samping penggunaan kontrasepsi. Penggunaan kontrasepsi dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor seperti pengetahuan, dukungan suami, budaya, tingkat kesejahteraan, komunikasi, informasi, dan pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada msyarakat ini bertujuan untuk peningkatkan pengetahuan WUS tentang KB. Metode kegiatan pengabdian adalah pemberian KIE secara langsung dengan menggunakan media leaflet. Intervensi dilakukan terhadap 30 orang. Pemberian kuesioner dilakukan sebagai bentuk evaluasi pengetahuan WUS tentang KB, di peroleh hasil sebelum pemberian penyuluhan rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan ibu sebesar 58% dan setelah diberikan penyuluhan menjadi 85%. Setelah diberikan KIE tentang KB diharapkan peserta yang mengikuti benar-benar mengerti dan menyebarluaskan informasi yang diterima kepada warga lain.

ABSTRACT
One of the direct targets of the family planning program is couples of childbearing age whose family planning needs are not met (unmet need). More than 80% of active family planning participants chose injections and pills as a method of contraception compared to other methods, namely injections (63.71%) and pills (17.24%). Meanwhile, 11 percent of married women aged 15-49 years have unmet need for family planning. Some of the factors that influence the incidence of unmet need are demographic, socio-economic factors, knowledge, attitudes, exposure to mass media, fear of side effects of using contraception. Contraceptive use is influenced by many factors such as knowledge, husband's support, culture, welfare level, communication, information, and education. This community service activity aims to increase WUS' knowledge about family planning. The method of service activities is the submission of KIE directly using leaflet media. The intervention was carried out on 30 people. Giving a questionnaire was carried out as a form of evaluating WUS knowledge about family planning, obtaining the results before giving counseling the average level of mother's knowledge was 58% and after being given counseling it was 85%. After being given KIE about family planning, it is hoped that the participants will really understand and disseminate the information received to other residents.
