Abstract

Anak memiliki nilai yang sangat tinggi untuk keluarga dan bangsa. Dan tercapainya pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang optimal merupakan hasil interaksi berbagai faktor yang saling berkaitan, yaitu faktor genetika, lingkungan, perilaku dan rangsangan atau stimulasi yang berguna. Salah satu faktor paling penting untuk perkembangan bayi yang sehat dan bahagia adalah sentuhan penuh kasih dari ibu. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sentuhan dan pijat bayi rutin dari orang tua menjadi faktor yang penting untuk pertumbuhan, komunikasi, dan proses belajar pada bayi. Sentuhan dan pijat pada bayi setelah kelahiran dapat memberi jaminan adanya kontak tubuh berkelanjutan guna mempertahankan perasaan aman pada bayi.

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan ibu dalam melaksanakan pijat bayi terhadap bayinya. Bahan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini brosur. Dengan metode pemberian konseling terhadap ibu-ibu yang memiliki bayi, kemudian pelaksanaan pijat bayi guna mengajarkan ibu cara memijat bayi sendiri di rumah yang memliki banyak manfaat baik terhadap bayi, dan juga manfaat bagi ibu. Ibu diajarkan beberapa teknik dalam memijat bayi.

Dengan Pengabdian ini ibu lebih paham manfaat pijat bayi tidak sekedar memijat bayi saat sakit saja. Diharapkan kepada Bidan Desa untuk mengaktifkan program terkait pelaksanaan pijat pada bayi.
