Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dilakukan di Desa Purwodadi Kecamatan Batunadua Kota Padangsidimpuan. Sebagaian besar masyarakat di desa ini berprofesi sebagai petani yang berpenghasilan tidak menetap sesuai hasil panen, bahkan kaum perempuan berprofesi sebagai ibu rumah tangga dan pengangguran. Dengan mayoritas masyarakat belum memiliki keterampilan khusus untuk menambah penghasilan. Untuk itu perlu adanya pemberdayaan masayrakat untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini ditujukan untuk ibu-ibu rumah tangga Desa Purwodadi. PKM ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan pelatihan dasar. Penyuluhan yang diberikan untuk menambah wawasan masyarakat tentang tata busana (fashion) dan peluang bisnis di bidangnya. Pelatihan tata busana yang diberikan yaitu pelatihan menjahit dasar dan membuat pola dasar. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah masyarakat mendapatkan keterampilan baru (tata busana) yang dapat menjadi peluang usaha dalam menambah penghasilan.
