Editorial Policy


Focus and Scope

Indonesian Health Scientific  Journal is published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) at Aufa Royhan University in Padangsidimpuan City. JKII is dedicated to publishing research, theoretical studies and phenomena in the health sector.

The scope of the manuscript to be published on JKII is a manifestation of the vision of Aufa Royhan University in Padangsidimpuan City, including "Becoming a Quality and Regionally Competitive Higher Education Based on Character Development". JKII is published twice a year and invites researchers or practitioners from various scientific disciplines to write about health issues such as in the fields of public health, pharmacy, nursing, midwifery, blood bank technology and others.


Section Policy

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts are read by the editorial staff. The review process uses a one blind review system. Manuscripts evaluated by the editor as not meeting the journal's criteria will be immediately rejected without external review. Manuscripts that are deemed to potentially interest our readers will be sent to reviewers. The editor then makes a decision based on the reviewer's recommendations from several possibilities: rejected, requires major revisions, requires minor revisions, or accepted.


Publication Frequency

Indonesian Health Scientific  Journal is published twice a year, namely every June and December.


Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.


Archiving Policy

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) System to ensure a secure and permanent archive for the journal.


Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics of the Indonesian Health Scientific Journal The Indonesian Scientific Health Journal is a publication of scientific works from the results of research, education and scientific development in the health sector. Publication Ethics of the Indonesian Scientific Health Journal is a statement of the code of ethics for all parties involved in the publication process of this scientific journal, namely the manager, editor, bestari partners, and authors/writers. This statement of the code of ethics for scientific publications is based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, which in essence, the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications essentially upholds three ethical values ​​in publications, namely Neutrality, namely free from conflict of interest in managing publications; Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those entitled to be authors/writers; And Honesty, namely free from duplication, fabrication, falsification and plagiarism (DF2P) in publications. 

Journal Manager 

  • Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.
  • Determine the membership of the editorial board.
  • Defines the relationship between publishers, editors, publishers and other parties in a contract.
  • Respect matters of a confidential nature, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors and bestari partners.
  • Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  • Review journal policies and convey them to the author/writers, editorial board, bestari partners, and readers.
  • Create code of conduct guidelines for editors and review partners.
  • Publish journals regularly.
  • Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
  • Building cooperation and marketing networks.
  • Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

Team Editor 

  • Meeting the needs of readers and authors/writers.
  • Striving to continuously improve the quality of publications.
  • Implement processes to ensure the quality of published written work.
  • Prioritizing freedom of opinion objectively.
  • Maintaining the integrity of the author's academic track record.
  • Convey corrections, clarifications, withdrawals and apologies if necessary.
  • Responsible for the style and format of the written work, while the content and all statements in the written work are the responsibility of the author/writer.
  • Actively solicit the opinions of authors, readers, bestari partners, and editorial board members to improve the quality of publications.
  • Encourage an assessment of the journal if there are findings.
  • Support initiatives to reduce research and publication errors by asking authors to attach an Ethics Clearance form that has been approved by the Research Ethics Commission.
  • Support initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics.
  • Examining the effect of publication policies on the attitudes of authors/writers and bestari partners and improving them to increase responsibility and minimize errors.
  • Having an open mind to new opinions or other people's views that may conflict with personal opinions.
  • Do not defend your own opinion, that of the author or a third party which could result in a non-objective decision.
  • Encourage authors/authors to improve their written work until it is suitable for z

Author/Writer 

  • Ensure that those included in the list of authors/authors meet the criteria as authors/writers.
  • Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods, analysis, calculations and details.
  • State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.
  • Explain the limitations in the research
  • Respond to comments made by Bestari partners in a professional and timely manner.
  • Inform the editor if you will withdraw your written work.
  • Make a statement that the written work submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.

Screening for Plagiarism

University students,fellows are members of the academic field such a lecture and author, must avoid the plagiarism in making a research plan and thesis. Otherwise, you may be disqualified from the selection.

You must document all of your source material. If you take any text from somebody else, you must make it clear the text is being quoted and where the text comes from. You must also cite any sources from which you obtain numbers, ideas, or other material. Use of ChatGPT or other AI composition software is not permitted.

Such cases are deemed as plagiarism:
 Copying from books or articles written by another author without full acknowledgement.
 Copying from an internet source without attribution text or information.
 Copying and pasting a Wikipedia article into the body of an assignment.
 Quoting a source without including a citation.

Plagiarism is checked for using the application, Turnitin.
