Abstract

ABSTRAK

Menstruasi adalah pengeluaran darah dari vagina yang berasal dari dinding rahim perempuan, defenisi lain bisa juga diartikan sebagai siklus alami yang terjadi secara reguler untuk mempersiapkan tubuh perempuan setiap bulannya. Seperti remaja normal menstruasi juga akan dialami oleh remaja dengan difabel kecuali bagi mereka yang mengalami gangguan sehingga berefek pada organ reproduksinya maupun terdapat kerusakan pada bagian otaknya yang berpengaruh pada hormon yang mengatur fungsi ovarium. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian fenomenologi deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 5 partisipan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengambilan data dengan melakukan wawancara mendalam (in-depth-interview) dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian didapatkan 6 tema yaitu: Tema 1: Tanda-tanda menstruasi, Tema 2: Kepiaweaan pertama haid pada remaja difabel, Tema 3: Peran ibu mengajarkan Self Hygiene remaja difabel saat menstruasi, Tema 4: Peran keluarga membantu perawatan diri menstruasi pada remaja difabel, Tema 5: Perawatan diri remaja difabel saat menstruasi, Tema 6: Perubahan mental pada remaja difabel saat menstruasi. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepiawean remaja putri difabel dalam menghadapi menstruasi dikategorikan menjadi remaja difabel mengetahui menstruasi itu keluarnya darah dari vagina dan remaja difabel memiliki kepiawean yang dirasakan saat pertama kali menstruasi yaitu berupa takut, khwatir, bingung.
