Fracture is the breakdown of bone tissue due to stress due to the resistance that comes greater than the endurance possessed by the bone. Fractures cause damage to surrounding tissues such as muscle, vascular, and nerves from trauma to bone fragments due to surgery. Open Reduction Interna Fixation (ORIF) is a surgical method for most fracture surgery. Fractures result in musculoskeletal disorders that affect tolerance in activity. The objective of the research was to analyze the meaning of quality of life lower limb fracture patients with the open reduction internal fixation (ORIF). The research was a descriptive phenomenological study with 8 participants and the data were gathered by conducting in - depth interviews and field notes at BLUD RS Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. The result of interviews was analyzed by using Collaizzi approach. The result of the research showed that there were six 4 themes: 1) physical changes, 2) psychological responses 3) social impact, and 4) client expectations in terms of providing nursing services. Based on the results of the study, it is suggested that nurses can improve the ability of nurses in preventing the occurrence of infections including the ability of nurses in providing information, education and home planning related to education wound care
