Formulasi Ekstrak Daun Sirih Hijau ( Piper Betle L) Sebagai Anti Jerawat

Daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L.) mengandung flavanoid yang cukup baik dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri penyebab jerawat, salah satunya Propionibacterium acnes. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bedak tabur anti jerawat ekstrak daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L.) dapat menghabat pertumbuhan bakteri Propionibacterium acnes, dan untuk mengetahui ekstrak daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L.) dapat diformulasikan menjadi sediaan bedak tabur anti jerawat. Menggunakan metode eksperimental. Hasil penelitian pada uji skrining fitokimia positif mengandung flavanoid, tanin, saponin. Uji organoleptis berwarna hijau dan berbau khas daun sirih hijau. Uji homogenitas sediaan homogen. Uji pH 5,22. Uji daya hambat antibakteri 6,5-10 mm termasuk dalam kategori daya hambat sedang, dimana kategori daya hambat sedang yaitu sebesar 5-10 mm. uji iritasi tidak terdapat reaksi yang menunjukkan adanya iritasi pada responden. Uji hedonik pada sediaan bedak tabur yang paling disukai oleh responden formula sediaan 3 konsenterasi 6%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bedak tabur anti jerawat ekstrak daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L.) dapat menghambat pertumbuhan dari bakteri Propionibacterium acnes dan daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L.) dapat diformulasikan menjadi bedak tabur anti jerawat.

Abstract
Green betel leaf (Piper betle L.) contains flavanoids that are quite good at inhibiting the growth of acne-causing bacteria, one of which is Propionibacterium acnes. The purpose of this study was to determine the anti-acne powder of green betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) can inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria, and to determine the green betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) can be formulated into an anti-acne powder preparation. Using experimental method. The results of the research on phytochemical screening test were positive for flavanoids, tannins, saponins. Organoleptical test is green and smells typical of green betel leaves. Homogeneity test is homogeneous preparation. pH test 5.22. The antibacterial inhibition test of 6.5-10 mm is included in the category of moderate inhibition, where the category of moderate inhibition is 5-10 mm. irritation test there is no reaction that indicates irritation to the respondent. Hedonic test on the preparation of loose powder which is most preferred by respondents in the preparation formula 3 with a concentration of 6%. The conclusion of this study is that anti-acne powder of green betel leaf extract (Piper betle L.) can inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria and green betel leaf (Piper betle L.) can be formulated into anti-acne powder.
