Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi memberikan lebih banyak peluang untuk berkomunikasi dan terhubung, termasuk melalui media sosial. Media sosial adalah jenis media komunikasi dan interaksi digital yang dihasilkan oleh perkembangan teknologi Web 2.0 yang memfasilitasi interaksi antar manusia dengan membuat, berbagi, atau bertukar informasi dan ide secara online dalam komunitas virtual dan jaringan virtual. Di sektor kesehatan masyarakat, media sosial telah digunakan untuk berbagai maksud dan tujuan, seperti meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang layanan, mendorong perilaku tertentu, meningkatkan kesadaran akan masalah kesehatan secara umum, melawan stigma, mendukung pertumbuhan dan jaringan saling mendukung di antara kelompok berisiko, dan memberikan jawaban atau menanggapi pertanyaan atau pertanyaan tertentu yang berkaitan dengan masalah kesehatan. Peneliti kesehatan juga semakin banyak menggunakan media sosial untuk berbagai tujuan profesional, termasuk perekrutan peserta, analisis konten, promosi penelitian akademis, penggalian data, intervensi atau implementasi kampanye, keterlibatan dalam kolaborasi, pengumpulan data, pelaporan temuan penelitian, mengakses sumber daya ilmiah, dan informasi manajemen kesehatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan melakukan kegiatan observasi, yaitu pengamatan yang dilakukan untuk mengamati objek penelitian secara langsung melalui wawancara dengan 5 informan yang menggunakan media sosial. Dengan upaya bersama dari semua pihak ataupun stakeholder semua pihak, media sosial dapat menjadi alat yang ampuh untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang HIV/AIDS dan mendorong perubahan perilaku yang positif. Seperti meningkatkan kerjasama antara pemerintah, NGP, dan sector swasta dalam mengembangkan dan menyebarkan informasi yang akurat di media sosial. Mendorong masyarakat untuk menggunakan media sosial secara bertanggung jawab dan kritis dalam mencari informasi tentang HIV/AIDS.
