Abstract

Persentase perokok di indonesia terus meningkat, khususnya di kalangan remaja dan menjadi yang terbanyak ketiga di dunia, setelah Tiongkok dan India. Jumlah perokok di dunia saat ini mencapai 70,2 juta orang atau sekitar 34,5% dari populasi total dunia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis efektivitas media audio visual terhadap dangers of smoking dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, efikasi diri dan sikap remaja SMP Negeri 41 Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pra-eksperimental dengan desain one group pre-test-post-test dengan sampel sebanyak 40 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Uji statistik yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Sign Rank Pengetahuan menunjukkan bahwa nilai p-value (0,000)<0,05 terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan responden sebelum dan setelah intervensi dengan media audio visual, Efikasi diri dan Sikap menunjukkan nilai p-value (0,000)<0,05 yang berarti membuktikan bahwa adanya perubahan Efikasi diri & Sikap pada responden. Adanya efektivitas audio visual dangers of smoking dalam meningkatkan Pengetahuan, Efikasi diri dan Sikap remaja kelas VII & VIII SMP Negeri 41 Medan. Disarankan kepada SMP Negeri 41 Medan Medan, untuk promosi kesehatan tentang bahaya merokok terhadap kesehatan.
