Abstract

ABSTRAK

Ekstrak  tebu  merah mengandung  Sukrosa dan Asam askorbat . Sukrosa merupakan zat aktif yang bekerja sebagai humektan dengan cara menarik air, meningkatkan hidrasi stratum corneum dan mempertahankan kelembaban,  sedangan asam askorbat yang dapat dipakai untuk membersihkan kulit dan pori-pori sehingga dapat memperhalus kulit, membantu mengurangi keriput, menyamarkan noda dan membantu memperbaiki penampilan kulit secara keseluruhan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah emulgel dari ekstrak tebu merah mamiliki efek pelembab dan mampu mengecilkan pori. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental, meliputi pembuatan ekstrak tebu merah, formulasi sediaan emulgel, uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat, pengukuran pH, uji viskositas, uji iritasi, dan uji efektivitas pelembab dan pengecil pori pada kulit sukarelawan selama 4 minggu dengan konsentrasi ekstrak tebu merah 3%, 4,5%, 6%. Hasil penelitian diperoleh F0 memiliki warna putih tulang dan tidak berbau, F1 memiliki warna putih kekuningan, F2, dan F3 memiliki warna cream dan aroma khas tebu merah, pH rata-rata 5,08, viskositas sediaan rata-rata 2.539,5 cps, daya sebar rata-rata 5,4 cm, daya lekat rata-rata 1,60 detik dan tidak menyebabkan iritasi. Persentase peningkatan kadar air pada sukarelawan yang memakai emulgel formula F0, F1, F2, dan F3, meningkat sebesar 7,4%, 9,2%, 12,8%, 8,9%, dan Rata-rata Persentasi pengecilan pori adalah F0 6,3%, F112,7%, F2 11,8%, F3 9,3%. Kesimpulan Formula F2 (emulgel ekstrak tebu merah 4,5%) memiliki persentase peningkatan kadar air yang lebih baik, dan pengukuran besar pori menjadi lebih kecil dibandingkan kondisi awal.

ABSTRACT

Red sugar cane extract contains sucrose and ascorbic acid. Sucrose is an active substance that works as a humectant by attracting water, increasing hydration of the stratum corneum and retaining moisture, while ascorbic acid can be used to clean the skin and pores so that it can soften the skin, help reduce wrinkles, disguise blemishes and help improve the appearance of the skin. overall. The aim of the research was to find out whether emulgel from red sugar cane extract had a moisturizing effect and was able to shrink pores. This research method uses experimental methods, including making red sugar cane extract, emulgel preparation formulation, organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, spreadability tests, adhesion tests, pH measurements, viscosity tests, irritation tests, and moisturizing and pore-reducing effectiveness tests on volunteer skin. for 4 weeks with red sugar cane extract concentrations of 3%, 4.5%, 6%. The research results showed that F0 had a bone white color and had no odor, F1 had a yellowish white color, F2 and F3 had a cream color and a typical aroma of red sugar cane, an average pH of 5.08, an average dosage viscosity of 2,539.5 cps, the average spread of 5.4 cm, average adhesion of 1.60 seconds and does not cause irritation. The percentage increase in water content in volunteers who used emulgel formulas F0, F1, F2, and F3, increased by 7.4%, 9.2%, 12.8%, 8.9%, and the average percentage of pore reduction was F0 6.3%, F112.7%, F2 11.8%, F3 9.3%. Conclusion: Formula F2 (red sugar cane extract emulgel 4.5%) has a better percentage increase in water content, and the pore size measurement is smaller than the initial condition.
