Abstract

Pernikahan usia anak atau lebih dikenal dengan istilah pernikahan di bawah umur merupakan salah satu fenomena sosial yang banyak terjadi diberbagai tempat di tanah air, baik di perkotaan maupun di perdesaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor yang berhubungan dengan terjadinya pernikahan usia dini di Desa Bandar Tarutung Kecamatan Sangkunur Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Metode penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional study. Penelitian dilakukan di Desa Bandar terhadap, 170 yaitu remaja putri (15-19 tahun) dengan sampel 63 remaja putri. Analisa data yang digunakan adalah Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan umur dimana nilai p value 0,026, pendidikan dimana nilai p value 0,017 penghasilan orangtua dimana nilai p value 0,033, keadaan sebelum menikah dengan pernikahan usia dini, dimana nilai p value 0,036, kebiasaan/ kepercayaan tentang pernikahan dengan pernikahan dini, dimana nilai p value 0,020 pengetahuan dimana nilai p value 0,030 dengan pernikahan usia dini. Hasil penelitian ini merekomendasikan pemerintah agar merevisi UU No. 1 Tahun 1974, usia pernikahan minimal pria adalah 19 tahun dan perempuan adalah 16 tahun. Menjadi usia ideal pernikahan menurut DP3APPKB adalah 25 tahun untuk pria dan 21 tahun untuk perempuan.
