The Aktivitas Antibakteri Handsanitizer Ekstrak Daun Pandan Wangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb)

Daun pandan wangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius, Roxb) telah banyak dikenal mengandung senyawa antibakteri. Ekstrak daun pandan wangi menunjukkan aktivitas antibakteri spectrum luas terhadap bakteri gram positif dan negative. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa ekstrak daun pandan wangi dapat diformulasikan menjadi gel handsanitizer dan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antibakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental berbasis laboratorium. Penelitian di lakukan di laboratorium farmasetika Universitas Aufa Royhan Di Kota Padangsidempuan dan Laboratorium Mikrobiologi USU. Formulasi handsanitizer ekstrak daun pandan wangi adalah F1 dengan ekstrak daun pandan 0,1 %, F2 dengan ekstrak daun pandan 0,2 %, F3 dengan ekstrak daun pandan 0,3 % dan F4 dengan ekstrak daun pandan 0,4 %. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa formulasi gel handsanitizer kombinasi ekstrak daun pandanwangi (Pandanus amaryllifolius,Roxb) dengan alkohol memiliki karakteristik yang bagus secara organoleptis. Hasil uji antibakteri pada Staphylococcus aureus dengan diameter zona hambat keempat konsentrasi gel berturut F1 adalah 6,57 mm, F2 adalah 8,25 mm, F3 adalah 7,43 mm, F4 adalah 7,85 mm. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah diameter zona hambat terbesar ada pada Formula 2 dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 0,2 % menujukkan bahwa penghambatan terbaik pada Staphylococcus aureus.
