HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU DENGAN PEMBERIAN ASI EKSLUSIF PADA BAYI DI PUSKESMAS PINANGSORI KABUPATEN TAPANULI TENGAH TAHUN 2022

Abstract

ABSTRACK

Breastfeeding is one of the efforts to improve the nutritional status of children in the First 1000 Days of Birth (FDB). Malnutrition at the age of less than 2 years will have an impact on decreased physical growth, brain development, intelligence, and productivity. These impacts are largely irreversible. Breastfeeding in the world is around 50%. Breastfeeding coverage in Latin America and the Caribbean is 32% and 46 % in the developing countries. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding for infants at the Pinangsori Public Health Center, Central Tapanuli District in 2022. The type of research used was quantitative with a cross sectional study approach. The population of the research were all mothers who had babies at the age of 6-12 months who came to the Pinangsori Public Health Center in January-July 2022 about 51 people by using the total sampling method. The analysis used was Chi-square test and the results showed that value of  (p = 0.017), which mean that there was a relationship between attitude and exclusive breastfeeding for infants. It is suggested for mothers to dig up information about exclusive breastfeeding for babies as a provision of knowledge. Further, mother can give exclusive breastfeeding for their baby for  six months.

Pemberian ASI salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan status gizi anak dalam 1000 Hari Pertama Kelahiran (HPK). Gizi kurang pada usia kurang dari 2 tahun akan berdampak terhadap penurunan pertumbuhan fisik, perkembangan otak, kecerdasan, dan produktivitas; dampak ini sebagian besar tidak dapat diperbaiki. Pemberian ASI di dunia berkisar 50%. Cakupan ASI di Amerika Latin dan Karibia sebanyak 32% dan Negara berkembang 46%. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu dengan pemberian ASI ekslusif pada bayi di Puskesmas Pinangsori Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah Tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi penelitian adalah adalah semua ibu yang mempunyai bayi 6-12 bulan yang datang di Puskesmas Pinangsori Januari-Juli Tahun 2022 sebanyak 51 orang., dengan sampel 51 orang menggunakan metode total sampling. Analisa yang digunakan adalah uji Chi-square dengan hasil menunjukkan bahwa (p= 0,017), artinya ada hubungan sikap dengan pemberian ASI ekslusif pada bayi. Saran bagi ibu dapat menggali informasi mengenai pemberian ASI ekslusif pada bayi sebagai bekal pengetahuan. Kemudian ibu dapat memberikan ASI eksklusif kepada bayinya yaitu hanya memberikan ASI saja selama enam bulan penuh
